Blurry Vision: Causes and Effective Treatments

Blurry vision is a common issue and can be caused by several factors. The most frequent cause is refractive errors like nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism. These conditions affect how light enters your eyes, but they can be easily corrected with glasses, contact lenses, or refractive surgery.

Another cause is eye strain, which happens from too much screen time or reading. To help reduce eye strain, take regular breaks following the 20-20-20 rule (look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes), adjust your screen settings, and use proper lighting. If dry eyes or allergies are to blame, using lubricating eye drops or antihistamine treatments can provide relief.

If blurry vision is persistent or worsens, it could indicate more serious conditions like cataracts or glaucoma. It's important to consult an eye doctor, who may suggest treatments like surgery, medication, or specific eye care solutions to restore clear vision.
